In Massachusetts, too many elections are decided before a single voter casts a ballot - controlled by party insiders, not we the people. 63% of all the Commonwealth's elections in 2024 were totally uncontested, making us the least competitive state in the nation.

When voters are left with too few choices on the ballot, or none at all, those newly elected officials answer to the insiders who put them there - not the rest of us.

Massachusetts' restrictive, party-controlled primaries keep power in the hands of a few and shut out the voice of the people.

It's a broken system that needs to be fixed.

All-party primaries give every voter real choices. Instead of separate party primaries, all candidates appear on one ballot. Every voter, regardless of party, can vote for any candidate. The top two finishers advance to the general election, no matter their party. This incentivizes candidates to earn support from all of us, not just insiders. And it's a familiar system - it's how many Massachusetts cities and towns run their municipal elections.
