Stop Canadian Immigrations from Discriminating Against the Terminally Ill

Jelly Herrera had stage 2 breast cancer when the Canadian government stopped her healthcare. This was merely because Herrera decided to drop her refugee status and apply for citizenship.
Now, she is unable to pay for her treatment.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) can refuse applicants who they think will be a burden on the healthcare system. Without healthcare coverage, Herrera is not only unable to afford treatment for the disease that may be killing her, she also faces eventual deportation in the likely case she is unable to achieve citizenship.
Chances for those suffering from terminal medical conditions to become Canadian citizens are very slim.
It is unfair for citizenship applicants to be turned away based on their medical status. It puts people's lives on the line, and leaves those in desperate need of treatment unable to afford it.
Sign this petition to tell the CIC to stop discriminating against people that have medical needs.
Dear Citizenship and Immigration Canada:
I am writing to express my deep concern for the Canadian citizenship applicants who are often denied merely because they have a medical condition that requires healthcare support.
Time is of the essence for people with cancer and other medical conditions that require regular treatment. To put them in such a desperate, in-between state is insensitive to their health needs, which may be dire. Many of the applicants suffering from terminal diseases require regular treatments--treatments that they may not be able to afford if they are denied citizenship.
By discriminating against people with health conditions, Canada is creating a brutal situation where people are fighting off financial troubles and succumbing to their disease simultaneously.

I urge you to stop using medical conditions as a reason to deny an applicant citizenship. It is unfair and puts many lives on the line.
Sincerely,
