Speak Out Against the NRA's Proposal to Require Gun Training in Schools

Did you see that crazy NRA video that came out last week? The one where commentator Billy Johnson proposed that children be required to pass a gun proficiency class, proving they can shoot guns? He even said "It wouldn’t matter if they didn’t want to learn. We would make it necessary to advance to the next grade."

The same NRA commentator also called for making guns mandatory in some areas. That's right, can you imagine a park where you are denied entrance if you don't have a gun? He even suggested that the government use tax dollars to provide subsidies for guns and ammunition.

It's very clear what kind of America the Gun Extremists want. Tell the NRA this isn’t the America we want.

We want an America where we are safe to go to school, to work, to church, to the movies. We want to feel safe and be safe. We want an America that values our lives and the lives of our families. And we want our leaders to enact common sense policies to achieve this America.

This is the American we want. And together, we can build it.
