Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was holding a press conference, a thing that was literally created so questions could be answered.
But when U.S. Senator Alex Padilla of California tried to ask a question, he was forcibly pushed out of the room, thrown to the ground, and handcuffed.
WTF? If this is how one of the highest elected officials in the country is treated, just imagine how the rest of us would fare in that situation (or don't imagine it, just read the papers and see what's already happening).
Don't let them normalize this. There needs to be an investigation, and if appropriate, criminal penalties.
