Let's band together as a country to tell the corporations NO MORE!
All we need to do is get together on ONE DAY - one day only, do not buy gasoline from Shell Oil. The hit they will feel from the loss in sales will be in the MILLIONS.
My goal is to set the day for a few months from today (March 29th, 2007) so that as many people as possible can see this petition and we can have the MOST impact possible - that is why I decided on LABOR DAY 2007 (September 3rd). So mark it on your calendar and DON'T BUY GAS FROM SHELL on that day!
Care2 gives butterflies for signing petitions and they state
"the flap of a butterfly's wings in in Brazil can set off a storm in Texas. Isn't that an amazing statement? Physicists call this theory "The Butterfly Effect" to explain how the breeze produced by a butterfly's wings could set of a series of reverberations that over time have a tremendous affect on weather patterns thousands of miles away. Now imagine the impact of millions of butterflies..." it's the same as this petition I am creating - we the PEOPLE can be the butterflies wings...we can have an affect on a HUGE corporation if we will all get together to stop what they are doing.
They should NOT be charging in upwards of $3.00 a gallon for gasoline - just a few short years ago it was only $0.95 a gallon! I miss those days, and if you do too, sign the petition, mark it on your calendar and make a difference!
