Demand to End Judicial Tyranny and Lawlessness Towards Military Spouses, Former Military Spouses and Children

Countless realities of such tyranny and long-term effects of domestic violence and abuse exist for our abused, deserted, destitute, homeless military spouses, former military spouses, and children, which often result in suicide and even murder.

Even after two House Armed Services Subcommittees on Military Personnel hearings, where servicemembers, military spouses, and former military spouse victims testified before Members of Congress and Senate (" Shattered Families, Shattered Service; Taking Military's Domestic Violence Out of the Shadows" held on September 18, 2019, and "Keeping Our Service Members and Their Families Safe and Ready: The Military's Prevention and Response to Domestic Violence" held on May 25, 2021.) It is common knowledge in those communities that those with power and responsibility have done nothing, and the perpetrators have not been held accountable - a terrifying realization for many military spouses and children.

The number of military family member homicide cases, as reported by various media outlets, where the victim(s) had experienced domestic abuse for years and where on occasion, has led to death, has increased substantially.

While this should be a public health and policy crisis for our nation, the sense of urgency by those who can make a difference is missing. Countless military spouses, former military spouses, and child(ren) victims report and flee abuse only to endure post-separation abuse and revictimization in our military and civil judicial system.

Will you stand with countless Military Families today and call The House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel to hold the Department of Defense accountable?
