Tell Gulf Leaders to Protect Gulf Fishing and Seafood

After coming back from the brink, the future of the Gulf's red snapper population has been under threat in recent years. After years of chronic overfishing, strong conservation standards have helped the stock rebound, meaning more fish for anglers, better and more stable jobs for coastal small businesses, and more sustainable seafood for Americans to enjoy.

The fishing community and conservation leaders have worked hard to bring red snapper back. With so many depending on Gulf seafood, fair access and responsible management are more critical than ever. Unfortunately, every year new proposals are introduced in Congress or by Gulf special interests that could jeopardize the future health of Gulf fisheries.

We must ensure that businesses, anglers and families can continue to access healthy Gulf fisheries now and for years to come. Share the Gulf supporters have successfully pushed back year after year, but we need more concerned Gulf residents to raise their voice up to Gulf leaders.
