Establishment of Independent Public Access Television Production Facilities

Petition requesting that the City of San Antonio approve the creation and funding of a non-profit organization to build and manage a Public Access Television Production Facility in San Antonio. This center is to be funded by existing cable franchise fees the City collects from cable providers.

I ________________________________as a citizen of San Antonio,

Texas and/or other city in the U.S. am in support of the creation of an independent non-profit organization to manage and operate an independent Public Access Television Production Center in San Antonio, Texas to be established with a portion of the Cable Franchise Fees collected by the City of San Antonio.

 

I believe this will assist in promoting more local video production, will make San Antonio a leader in independent media production, and will open communications with the community.

 

We ask that you support this proposal when it comes before the San Antonio City Council for a vote.
