Pledge to Drive a Green Vehicle

Transportation is the largest source of greenhouse gases in Ontario. In fact, it accounts for 35 percent of all carbon emissions in the province. If we can make a dent in carbon pollution from cars, we can make huge strides in the fight against climate change.

One of the best ways we can do that is to switch to electric vehicles (EV). There are good reasons for all the buzz around EVs: They require almost no maintenance, are fun to drive, and reduce vehicle emissions by up to 90 percent compared to a traditional gas car.

We don't have a moment to wait. Scientists already worry that we're on a trajectory to surpass the world's goal of keeping global temperature rise under 2 degrees. That means it's imperative for every one of us to do our part in any way we can to reduce emissions in our everyday lives.
