Be a part of history. Sign and stand with young climate leaders!

Seven young climate leaders, represented by Ecojustice, are taking the Government of Ontario to court. You can help them demonstrate that their case is in the public interest.

Sophia, Zoe, Shaelyn, Shelby, Alex, Madison, and Beze — who brought this lawsuit on behalf of concerned Canadians like you — say that when the Ontario government weakened its climate targets it violated the constitutional right to life, liberty, and security of every person in Ontario.

Their hearing in September 2022 will be the first in Canadian history to directly challenge a government's climate record under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

No matter the outcome, this case will break new ground and could set a precedent for future climate litigation in Canada.

I wish to add my name in support of the applicants' submission that the Mathur et al. case is in the public interest.

I am familiar with the case and believe that it is being brought in the public interest.

I support the position advanced by the applicants that the conduct of the Government of Ontario in relation to climate change has violated the rights of Ontarians under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

I think it is important the Ontario Superior Court determine whether the conduct of the Government of Ontario in relation to climate change has violated the Charter of Rights and Freedoms of Ontarians.

I support the position of the applicants who believe that this case is an important way to determine whether the Government's conduct has violated the Charter.
