Weapons are getting into Sudan; aid isn’t—Canada can fix this.

Sudan is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world. Over 4 million children have been displaced. Hospitals have been bombed. Food convoys blocked. Lifesaving aid delayed or denied. And while children go hungry, weapons still get through.

According to a 2025 investigation by the Globe and Mail, equipment made by Canadian companies are still fueling the violence in this crisis. Murky export controls and loopholes mean Canadian weapons and parts end up in conflict zones like Sudan.

At the same time, brave frontline responders struggle to deliver food and medical supplies—blocked by deliberate obstruction with no global accountability. When aid is denied in conflict, children are harmed the most.

To help keep children safe during this devastating crisis we need to:

  1. Close the Loopholes: Launch an independent review of Canada's export laws, increase transparency, and introduce tight end-use verification to ensure Canadian-made arms components don't fuel harm.
  2. Ensure children receive humanitarian aid: Canada can rally the world to defend children's right to lifesaving aid by leading a new effort to stop those who block help from getting through.

Children everywhere deserve to be protected from harm.  Join us in calling for urgent action from our government leaders today!

Sign the petition today. Push Canada to close the loopholes. Open the way. Protect the children.
