Request approval as outlined by the California Solar Rights Act to be able to install solar systems on our private residents.

  • por: Bruce T
  • destinatário: Desert Sands Management and Copeland Park owners.
The Solar Rights Act of California clearly limits any Government Agency or HOA or any entity from having veto power over any solar installation, except in the case of Health and Safety. The Act does allow these entities to apply reasonable restrictions as follows:

1. Respond to an application in writing within 30 days, with approval or an approval with reasonable restrictions, ie: a different location for the panels.

2. Reasonable Restrictions are limited to any restriction not costing over $1,000 from the original design or decreasing production by more than 10%.

Entities are NOT allowed to block solar for their personal opinions or aesthetic values.

We the undersigned residents of Desert Sands are requesting approval to peruse and possibly install solar systems on our personal residents. Please send response to DSHOA, 1025 Via Grande, Cathedral City, CA 92234.
