Pledge to Help Implement Colorado's First-Ever State Water Plan!

Coloradans banded together last year to submit over 30,000 comments, which helped shape Colorado's first-ever water plan, now we need to roll up our sleeves and make our voice heard again: Coloradans know the Plan is only as good as it is implemented.

With our population increasing by 100,000+ every year, our water needs to be managed to last through good years and bad – and putting a priority on conservation will do that, but ONLY if there is action behind the Plan. A recent poll found that 77% of Coloradans support using our current water supplies more wisely instead of diverting more water from our rivers. In addition, 78% also say that the Colorado River itself is critical to our state's economy. Those are hard numbers to ignore – especially for Governor Hickenlooper, who is leading the charge to implement the Plan.

It's clear: healthy rivers are the lifeblood of our outdoor lifestyle, of our economy – of our communities. Together, we need to make the smartest, conservation-oriented choices possible. That's why the Plan unites us. That's why we take action.

It's time for Governor Hickenlooper to lead Coloradans into an unprecedented era of conservation of our state's over-tapped water.
The finalization of Colorado's first-ever state water plan was a momentous occasion for our state last year. Now let’s start 2016 with the goal of making the implementation of the Plan a highlight of our state’s year again! Don't let the Plan get derailed - put water conservation on your list of priorities like 77% of Coloradans have (according to the 2016 Colorado College Conservation In The West Poll).
