Cut the fat and inefficiency from the Pentagon!
I have heard that the Pentagon takes 3 weeks to order new parts, MUCH longer than the private sector. 70% of the budget is spent on administration according to many sources, rather than where it is needed most such as upgrading barracks, and on the war on terrorism. I urge a complete audit and cut of the bloated inefficiency and fat. This ensures a more responsible use of taxpayer dollars.
Dear President Bush,
I understand that the military needs lots of funding right now to fight the war on terrorism. Why then, is 70% of the money the Pentagon receives spent on administration, according to many sources? More of that money needs to go to improve barracks, and to the war on terror. Also, the requisitioning process is very inefficient. I've heard that requisitions take up to 3 weeks. Please have a complete audit done of the Pentagon's expenditures and eliminate all of the pork and waste. This way the money we save can go towards lowering the deficit, restoring highway funds, and helping senior citizens.
