Fight CPS nationwide. What happened to Family First?
We need reform of the so called Child Protection Agency. They take away our rights and our childrens.
They have a statue called FAMILY FIRST where when the children are first taken out of the home, they are to investigate and find family members that are able to take guardianship of the children. Our government on any level needs to be accountable for their agencies actions. The family system in the United States is being destroyed. No wonder our children are roaming the streets and getting in trouble. But allow the relatives of these forgotten children to say and step up to the plate. These are their blood. CPS states that when the children are taken and placed with a foster family they bond. That may be to a point. Being with an aunt or uncle, grandparent or whatever relative is a larger bond. They would be able to talk on the phone or have some sort of visit with their parents if the child so chose. When the children are small they do not have any say in the matter. Please help us to reunite the family bond that the United States of America was built on.
We have the money to send people to the moon, but do budget cuts on trying to locate family members threw the Federal Parent Locator. I bet if I owed the Federal Government money they could find me.
We the undersigned are fighting for the reform of the Child Protection System. We do agree that sometimes families do need help. When those times happen the agencies need to look to family members to help out
Before the children are placed in foster care. Stick to the statue of Family First. Do not allow the social workers to bend the rule to suit their needs or because they know of someone that wants to adopt a child.
When the children are taken, investigate, search for relatives; then ask if they can help by taking custody of the children. Then when the children are safe, help their parents in whatever way we can, rather than just terminating their parental rights.
We can send people to the moon and other things but don't seem to be able to help protect our family stucture.
