West Coast Eagles to pick up Ben Cousins in November Draft

If Ben is cleared by the AFL to play football in 2009 and can enter the draft he should be allowed to play for the club, members and fans that have supported him through the good times and the bad.

By picking Ben up in the November draft, West Coast would be doing nothing more than what any other AFL club has the opportunity to do.

His punishment for his mistakes over the years was being delisted from West Coast and banned from playing AFL.
If enlisted by West Coast, Ben will have then worked his way into the club, not just handed his place back in the side.

Ben has shown that he has the drive, talent and discipline to keep himself fit and healthy during his ban, which shows the levels of commitment and leadership he still has to give.

No better way to educate the clubs rookies of the dangers of drugs and drugs in sport than with a living example to play along side.
