Stop Use of Tear Gas on Protesters in Bahrain
The Bahrain Center for Human Rights has asked for a stop measure in the excessive use of tear gas on Bahraini citizens and activists. The use of tear gas has taken a particularly harsh toll on Bahraini women: a new study shows that 67% of reported miscarriages in Bahrain last year were linked to the exposure of pregnant women to tear gas used by Bahrain's police security forces.

In regions of civil unrest, many of Bahrain's citizens have been repeatedly exposed to toxic gases over an extended period of time due to crackdowns on protests in the areas. Even during times when protests were not occurring, security police have thrown tear gas canisters inside residential buildings, suffocating people who were unable to escape in time.
Sign now to demand an end to excessive use of force by Bahrain security police, including the use of tear gas against citizens and activists.

We ask you to take immediate action to end excessive use of force, especially chemical agents such as tear gas, by Bahrain security police.
