For 10 years nothing has been done in Belgium in the field of animal welfare. Why does the government not take action?
The head of the Department of Animal Welfare, Mr. P. Du Ville, a translator-interpreter, who got the job from former minister Demotte, is probably working hard but not for the animals.
The Department of Animal Welfare should take the complaints about animal abuse seriously and give them the necessary attention and act consequently.
The animals are in an urgent need of your help! Therefore we ask you to sign the petition.
Finally a few members of the parliament are willing to devote themselves to animal welfare but in order to succeed they need your support.
Animals in Belgium are no priority and do not really count. It is thank to the dedications of these people that animal abuse can be discussed in the Parliament.
It may not be hushed up. The written questions to the Minister about the numerous cases of animal abuse should already have been brought up in Parliament but these questions seem to embarrass the Minister and the Department of Animal Welfare.
