Stop the "corporate" mindset in healthcare testing
Quest Diagnostics follows the six sigma business plan. This plan is fine for manufacturing and assembly line work. It is not a good business plan for healthcare.Quest Diagnostics requires everyone within the organization to meet established goals of items per minute. In other words your blood tests must be delivered and processed in a certain amount of time. What isn't known to the average consumer(ie patient) is that the information entered must be done in under two minutes. This leaves a great room for error. Errors should not be happening in healthcare. Demand that Quest diagnostics follows their slogan "the patient comes first" rather than the bottom line and the stockholders interest.
We The undersigned, demand that our test results are not just handled the way companies make elmo dolls. Our test are important to us, and the wrong results or errors made in any part of the process could be devasting to ourselves or to our loved ones. Take the upper hand and stop letting corporate greed invade healthcare.Do away with the six sigma process in your laboratories.
