Stop Twilight!!

I know many people hate the Twilight series, and the movie is even worse. I sincerely saw the fall of all hope for the preteens in America when I watched the MTV Movie Awards(or the new Kids Choice Awards) give Twilight one award after another for horrible acting and a terrible storyline. Kids are eating this stuff up and I mostly blame the parents for not introducing their children to better literature at a younger age, that now they are subjected to horrible emo fan fiction that Meyer writes about. None of it makes sense and as  an avid vampire/lycanthrope book reader I have never experienced such an utter disappointment for a series/movie. Also I feel these books promote pedophilia ie: Edward an 108 year old vampire who should have the maturity of an elder is completely in love with a teenager. Edward wants to keep Bella mortal so as she grows old she'll have to live and be in love with someone who forever looks 17. I hear later in the books Jacob is revealed to actually be a pedophile, who is looked at now as a very likable childhood friend of Bella. Bella runs around crying all the time and falls for a guy that watches her sleep, which is a terrible role model for young girls today. Teenagers do not know or can barely grasp the true meaning of love yet, and Twilight is a horrible guide. Could you imagine your teen girl seeing a cute older guy and he ends up in her room, watching her sleep,  telling her he loves her. Obsession and stalking does not equal love and this whole series needs to be stopped before something really does go wrong.
