Too Big Already! Oppose the Comcast/NBC Merger!
Comcast, the largest internet provider in the United States, is planning a merger with NBC, one of our largest broadcast players. Who's looking out for the public interest?
We the undersigned ask that the FCC investigate the implications of the proposed merger between Comcast and NBC. The internet has allowed for unprecedented growth in creative expression and industry that never became a reality for television. What impact would this merger have on the fertile commons that we have only just begun to use? The concerns raised by media advocates like Free Press (http://www.freepress.net/node/74889) should be addressed by our government before these private entities fundamentally alter a public resource.
