We Demand Police Practice And Policy Reform

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness.


Prudence will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shown, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are insufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. -Such has been the patient sufferance of this author; and such is now the necessity which constrains other victims to alter their former Systems of Government.


Anyone seized in wartime is automatically protected by Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions, which prohibits "cruel treatment and torture" and "outrages upon personal dignity, in particular humiliating and degrading treatment. Article III of the US Constitution gives Federal Courts the limited jurisdiction to decide actual cases or controversies. This is referred to as Article III standing. To have standing to bring a lawsuit or to pursue an appeal, a party must show that he or she has suffered an: injury in fact -- an invasion of a legally protected interest which is (a) concrete and particularized and (b) actual or imminent, not conjectural or hypothetical.  The history of the present justice system shows a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. In every state of these oppressions, we have petitioned for redress in the most humble terms. Our repeated petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. Why do government leaders continue to ignore the plight of these grave violations of her human rights?
 

It is time to tell UN Women Executive Director Michelle Bachelet, Assistant Secretary-General Rachel Mayanja, United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women that we want investigation exposing police practices and policies of extreme disparity and bigotry profiling racial, sexual orientation, gender, and other vulnerable minorities that have been implemented in an unconstitutional and discriminatory way.
