Wild caught Congo African Grey Parrots!!

The South African Government is one of few countries that still allow wild caught African Grey birds to be imported.
Today in a very sad news story it was reported that a whole cargo plane full of these extremely exquisite and intelligent birds was found to contain only dead birds!!!!
To top it all off, this is their breeding season in Africa, so how many chicks have died as a direct result of their parents being captured?
Another interesting factor is the fact that these birds mate for life. How many pairs have been broken up?
