The whales and the dolphins, cetaceans, bring happiness to every girl’s heart. They see them as equals and desire their companionship. In time, they are introduced to entertainment parks where they often glimpse into the dolphin’s world for the first time and witness a partnership between humankind and cetaceans leaving them with a burning desire to one day be that human, an animal trainer.
I am not asking Barbie to crush every young heart’s dream of becoming an animal trainer. I am asking Barbie to be a national movement to inspire girls. So, I wanted to make my voice and my dreams heard by asking you to take the initiative and be a pioneer in every girl’s heart by signing this petition.
The knowledge we have today, has led peaceful coexistences between cetaceans and researchers and cooperation and communication between dolphins and Naval Forces. This occurred because we understand that they are highly evolved and possess high-level cognition capable of interspecies communication and extensive mission programs such as rescue and surveillance. They are far more valuable than fancy entertainment tricks.
I am amazed by what women in science are capable of and the leading technological careers of today. I would love for Mattel to continue encouraging young girls to explore working with and caring for all types of marine life and promoting the love of animals that beat’s every young girl’s heart. Barbie's efforts to educate girls about animals and introduce them to animal-focused careers has been enchanting! Yet when it comes to Barbie advancing in Science, I only seem to witness her soar back to the moon. I would love Mattel to fulfill our beating hearts with a Marine Animal Researcher possibly working for the Dolphin Research Center or a Naval Petty Officer Animal Trainer working with dolphins. Please, not another SeaWorld Entertainment Parks Animal Trainer. This is my voice and my dream and my heart wanted Mattel to understand this.
