My brother Roy Bolus was charged in a 10- count indictment with the crimes of intentional murder, burglary and criminal possession of a weapon as a result of an incident that took place in Albany NY in the early morning of March 9, 1988. Roy was sentenced to 80 years to life imprisonment that's a lot of time for a person who has never been in the system and who has not physically killed anyone. I strongly believe that my brother has served his time and need to be with his family please grant him relief by granting him clemency.
We, the community, believe that Roy J Bolus has served enough time incarcerated. We believe that he would be an asset to society. Roy was arrested at (18) eighteen years old. Since his incarceration, Roy has helped released men gain employment, built educational programs, attained a doctorate degree, achieved for himself a myriad of certificate completions via programs, has trained men in HIV prevention and has taught self- improvement classes over a thirty year period . Roy has not "physically" killed anyone. Many offenders who have "physically" killed, have been released within 25 years, on average. It is time for Roy J. Bolus release! Please grant him relief by granting him clemency.
