Support Service Provders (SSPs) are specially trained professionals who enable people who have combined vision and hearing losses to access their environments and make informed decisions. SSPs provide them with visual and environmental information, sighted guide services, and communication accessibility.
We need your support to start a SSP Services in Ohio for Deaf-Blind. The Ohio Deaf Blind Outreach Program, which was funded by Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, has been closed due to the lack of funds.
Without these funds, Support Service Provider (SSP) was closed down. In the past, SSP has been serving as the eyes and ears for Deaf-Blind clients. With SSP, the Deaf-Blind clients could use the transportations, make the phone calls, read materials, go to doctor's offices, family events and many more in their community.
Please HELP US TO GET THE EYES AND EARS BACK TO DEAF-BLIND OHIOANS.
