Reinstate Shirley Sherrod

We the undersigned believe that Ms. Shirley Sherrod should be reinstated immediately.  The NAACP and the Administration both reacted too quickly without knowing all of the facts.  Ms. Sherrod's remarks, made at a meeting of the NAACP in Georgia, if watch in their entirety and not taken out of context, would exemplify her true feelings and what she was trying to say - that she had to overcome prejudices she had learned when growing up, as we all do as creatures molded to greater or lesser extents by our environment.  She was saying, and should be commended for it rather than being fired or even censured, that she moved beyond such thought and subequent behavior.
