Stop circus animals abuse in Chile

On July 24th, the Mayor of Santiago, Raul Alcaino, announced the approval of the municipal regulation banning circus shows that involve the participation of animals wild and/or domestic. With this, Santiago becomes the first municipality on a national level that adopts a measure of this sort, being its main purpose to watch over the welfare of animals. This regulation is part of other initiatives promoted by Mayor Alcaino focused in animal protection. His first one when he came in office was to declare Santiago as the first Non-euthanasical municipality in Chile.
All this is great news. But, in light of this announcement, Pablo Zalaquett, Mayor of La Florida, the biggest municipality in Santiago and where most of the circus companies establish themselves to perform, said that the aforementioned regulation was not a good one, because for him "a circus with no animals, is half a circus".
I am very concerned since the elections for Mayor are going to be held in the next months and Alcaino is not going for the reelection of tha Santiago Municipality. But guess who is? Pablo Zalaquett. It is most probable that, if he wins, he will overturn Alcaino's regulations about banning animals from circus shows and animals euthanasia.  
Please, help me get enough signatures to show Mr. Zalaquett that the fight against animal abuse in circus is not a whim of idle minds, nor a fictional situation. Help me to keep in force Alcaíno's regulation and to stop this painful reality for hundreds of animals in Chile.
