Tell Hegseth: “We Don’t Need Public Executions. We Need a Defense Secretary Who Isn’t a Moron.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, an incompetent nincompoop who puts us all in danger every day he has that job, is planning to livestream the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, convicted of killing 13 people at the base in 2009.

There are plenty of things Hegseth could do to make us safer and strengthen our defenses:

• Quit.
• Keep our weapons stockpiles replenished, instead of letting a war stretch them dangerously thin.
• Stop extending deployments until exhausted sailors are dealing with food shortages and broken plumbing.
• Don't push our nation into dumb-ass wars that are completely unnecessary.
• Quit.

We owe it to our troops to put the best possible leaders in charge, every time. Our troops deserve better than Hegseth—and a defense secretary focused on keeping them safe, not turning executions into entertainment.
