The food prices here at Niagara County Community College have gone up in prices significantly over this past year. In accustom to the increased prices, the portions of the food have decreased. For example; a #7 meal which USED to consist of three chicken fingers, two pizza logs, a large fry, and a twenty-two-ounce fountain drink would run a patron about $8.00 (Pre Tax). Currently (after the increased prices) one will receive two chicken fingers, two pizza logs, a small fry, and a twenty-two-ounce fountain drink. That order now costs around $9.29 (Pre Tax). Plus, now we are being charged for our take out containers, and utensils. These charges should be included in the price, not extra. In addition to the increase in food prices, the decrease of food portions, the extra prices (Take out containers/ utensils), and the quality of the food has to be taken into consideration. Several students around campus have noticed a change in the quality of the food (chicken fingers, French Fries, and some food that's either over or under cooked). If you feel that the price increase, decrease in food portions, the quality of the food, and the extra pricing on take-out containers/ utensils are accurate and unreasonable for college students to purchase for the reason stated above, PLEASE sign this petition!!! Help us get NCCC Dining Services down on an equal level, for all to enjoy.
