By attempting to establish a European Super League, those in positions of power in football are diminishing blue-collar/ working class players and fans.
They are creating a monopoly of power that would be unregulated and disastrous for every other football club in the world.
They are putting profits before people.
Relegation and financial fair play are fundamental to the sport. An economic gap has emerged between clubs ever since big business bit the hide of football. Financial status should not be the qualifying standard for successful teams.
The fans who made these clubs what they are today are being neglected. Fair play is being ignored. Selfish financial interests are putting football clubs' stability at risk.
This petition calls for the following:
All clubs involved in the European Super League are to cease their involvement in it immediately.
All participants of the league (chairmen, board members, owners, financial supporters, etc) are to resign from ALL football related positions, and to sell any football related assets.
All participating clubs are to plead guilty to FIFA, UEFA, and their respective football associations, for breaching financial fair play.
This petition also calls for the imposition of the most severe punishments legally applicable (i.e. fines, point deductions, relegation, etc) to be imposed on clubs attempting to join the European Super League.
