Tell Canada Goose to Stop Using Fur!

Popular outerwear company Canada Goose uses coyote fur to trim their coats. Brand representatives claim their fur is sourced from certified trappers, but animal rights groups are still concerned.

Canada has low standards for animal welfare. Regulations allow as many as 20 percent of trapped animals to have broken bones and other signs of severe distress. In some jurisdictions where Canada Goose sources fur, hunters can leave kill traps for up to five days without checking them. This leaves animals vulnerable to extreme pain and suffering.

Some of Canada Goose's customers expressed disappointment with the company's choice to use coyote fur. A customer named Michael said, "If I knew that, I probably wouldn't have bought a Canada Goose jacket." While other customers don't care about animal abuse, most would not care either way as long as their coat felt warm and looked nice. With the availability of attractive and warm synthetic fur alternatives, there is no reason to continue using real fur and causing animals to suffer. Please sign the petition to urge Canada Goose to stop using real fur in their outerwear!

We, the undersigned, are concerned with the treatment of coyotes used to make your coats. While we understand that you claim your fur is sourced from certified trappers, we still believe that coyotes might suffer. We find this is not necessary with the availability of warm and attractive synthetic fur alternatives.

We respectfully urge you to stop using fur in your outerwear and to seek alternatives. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
