Stop the Universal Service Fee Mandate

We THE People, should not be mandated to pay the Universal Service Fee from the FCC that is added to everyone's monthly Cell Phone Bills.  This fee was set forth in 1996 by the FCC.  Millions of dollars are collected each year and a large portion of this is used for giving low income person (s) Cell Phones and Monthly Services.  This should not be a responsibility of Consumers to pay for other's cell phone services.  This fee is charge to by the Federal Government to the Cell Phone Companies which is then passed along to the consumer.  Cell Phones are a privilege and are not a right or a necessity.  If someone cannot afford cell phones or services, it's not the responsibility of others to pay for this luxury.  This petition will be sent to the US House of Representatives and Senate and ask them to halt all funding of this program with an appropriate Amendment.
