Without a public vote on this issue, there is a danger that this will be voted on again at a later date. Once the SNP have been forced by the government into a position of not being able to have a vote, they will be able to weaken the act and so fox hunting will not be controlled. They are wanting to change the act so that multiple hounds are allowed to flush out foxes to be shot.
It is very obvious from all the video footage that has been recorded by animal rights groups that this will not happen. It is ridiculous to think that you could control a pack of dogs.
Foxes will be ripped to pieces before anyone could get near them with a rifle.
This cannot be called pest control as these foxes are being bred to be hunted. Genuine wild foxes could be humanely trapped and shot if farmers or people with livestock needed to control foxes. It cannot be called sport, as this should be an even playing field and many hounds against one fox is not fair play. Please help me protect our wildlife from such barbaric treatment and stop this brutal behaviour which does not belong in this century.
