Stop High School Students from Texting and Talking While Driving

According to the Palm Beach County's Sherrif's Office there are hundreds of traffic accidents caused by high school students texting or talking  on their cell phones while driving.  SInce the Florida State legistlature has refused to act on this important safety issue, it is imperative that local highs schools and the School District of Palm Beach County take action to protect our high school students.  Currently there are a number of free apps that are capable of disabling the texting and call fucntions on cell phones when a speed over 10 miles per hour is detected.  Mandating that all high school students have this app installed on their cell phones as a requirement for parking at their high school would be an effective and easily implemented plan to curb texting and talking while driving.  By signing this petition you will give your support to this important initiative.
