-It has come to the attention of some parents that the city of Montreal is planning to tear up and re-do 48th avenue starting in the spring 2015. -Construction around school grounds while school is still in progress will cause traffic congestion and ultimately be dangerous for children attending Catherine Soumillard Primary school. -Kids are harmed every year in Quebec in heavy machinery and traffic accidents. (need to quote source) -Reports indicate that most traffic accidents involving young children on foot occur between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (need to quote source) -Statistics show that death or injury by a traffic accident is more prominent among pedestrian.
