In several Alberta newspapers it was reported that Cabela's turned away members of the Cadet corp who were attempting to sell poppies, which is the primary fund raiser for the Royal Canadian Legion and it's veteran members.

Cabelas to date has offered a half hearted, corporate apology suggesting that this was some how a miscommunication. This was not a miscommunication in any way. Cabela's needs to make true amends for the actions of their employees and thus by proxy THEIR actions.
It is hoped that those who sign will agree not to spend their money at any Cabela's locations until such time as this afront to the veterans of Canada has been addressed properly and sincerely. It is our hope that Cabela's will offer the proceeds of their Remeberance Day sales to the Royal Canadian Legion in addition to offering a proper apology on their website.
