Free Sanitary Products for Women’s Health

It is unacceptable that women have to choose between buying food or purchasing sanitary products. It is important for our community and local businesses to take action and provide free access to these essential items, because it can benefit those who cannot afford them and promote gender equality by acknowledging the natural process of menstruation as a basic need. Women’s menstruation is a part of life that cannot be controlled. As it comes monthly, women tend to go through a pack of these products sooner, thus increasing sales of these products. Additionally, prices are increasing, which in turn decreases the amount of women able to purchase these products


I urge local businesses and government officials in Whittier, CA, to take action now by providing free access to women’s sanitary products to avoid financial burdens during this time.
