Save the trees in St Mary's Garden of Remembrance

St Mary's Church council are attempting to remove a number of trees in the Garden of Remembrance located in the small town of West Bank, Widnes. The century old trees are healthy and vibrant, providing a peaceful canopy over the members of the local community visiting to pay respects to their loved ones.
The trees are not only an historical part of the community loved by generations, they provide habitat to a variety of wildlife including protected species such as pipistrelle bats.
