I'm writing this letter to express my Disdain of the recent ballot language tha was used regarding our next contract with Coca Colafor the City of New Jersey.
As an employee of Coca Cola, I'm extremely disappointed by how this matter was conducted. I feel the language in the meeting was fixed in a matter to where we thought we were supporting the strike, but really it was intended for a different outcome.I vote "Yes" thinking that i was supporting the strike. I did no learn that the vote "Yes" really was to accept that contract until after i submitted my vote.
I am requesting that International Teamsters Union considers a revote for the issue of miscommunication,misunderstanding and lack of communication between our Shop Steward and the employees. Many of our concerned brothers feel like we were duped in to making a selection that was entirely opposite from what we intended. I think next contract is a door to a bad future for all of us.....with less medical benefits, less coverage, low raises,lower pay.etc
