The imporatance of animal welfare cannot be over stated and to allow cruelty in the name of something so irrelevant as fashion is an outrage. It is with distress that I realised that Etsy, the online shop allows the sale of rabbit fur jackets from China.
China has been criticised for having poor animal welfare standards, especially in relation to animals used for someone's business interest. The fur industry, in particular, has been exposed numerous times for being the most cruel of human activities and causing unimaginable suffering to defensless animals.
Etsy is a company that prides itself on its mission statement: "We are building a human, authentic and community-centric global and local marketplace. We are committed to using the power of business to create a better world through our platform, our members, our employees and the communities we serve." This is not compatible with the kind of cruelty to animals that a fur jacket takes!
It is time we put a stop to the extreme exploitation of animals and the fashion industry is the best place to start becuase we can easily do without it. SO, LET'S TAKE ACTION TOGETHER!

I am delivering these signatures to let you know that people feel very strongly about the sale of real fur products on your website and to ask you to reconsider your policies relating to these products.
Any civilised person or organisation must surely take into account the impact it has on the world. Etsy prides itself on an ethical mission statement but the horrors of real fur production are incompatible with what you claim to be important to you.
Please, reconsider your trading policies to exclude all fur products. You would be making a huge difference in the fight for animal welfare and truly take your place as an ethical trader.
