OPOSITION TO GALLERIA RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT

The addition of 650 Residential Units at the Galleria of South Bay location would adversely and negatively impact this area. The additional traffic this will bring to Kingsdale Ave., 182nd Street, 177th Street, Grant Avenue, Artesia Blvd. as well as Inglewood Avenue will result in gridlock, air pollution and safety issues for first responders. The increase in noise levels will be detrimental to the health and well-being of the already existing neighboring residents. This will also create a strain on our already over-crowded Redondo Beach School system. Additional Teachers, Staff and possibly classroom construction will be the result of this over-development of affordable residential housing. Our Schools are already under-funded and short-staffed.
This proposed addition of a 65 foot tall building along Kingsdale Ave. designed to include 400+ Residential Units will adversely impact the property value, safety and privacy of the neighboring community.
