Do not take away prosecuting powers from the RSPCA

In recent days The Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs Committee has launched an inquiry into whether the RSPCA should keep its right to prosecute people. This is a blatant attempt by the government to make it easier for our wildlife to be abused and used for 'sport'.
In recent months David Cameron decided to drop the vote on weakening 2004 Hunting Act due to a lack of support. Now it seems he is trying the next best method to make it easier for the hunts to continue with illegal hunting without the fears of prosecution.

RSPCA Statement regarding prosecution:
In order to protect animals from future harm, our priority in many prosecution cases is for people who are convicted to be banned from keeping animals.*

This can only happen if a conviction is secured and the court decides that such a ban is appropriate.

When a conviction is secured, the court is then able to permanently confiscate animals. If signed over to our care we can then find them loving homes.
