Tumblr is a webpage created for everyone. A page created for free posting/reblogging and free content. It is a page of freedom. It is a place for all people to express their feelings. If yahoo buys tumblr, there would be many (bad) changes that would disagree with what Tumblr was created for. What would most posibly happen is:
1.It gets full of advertisments promoted by Yahoo.
2.It could posibly get closed, like the other sites adquired by Yahoo: astrid.com, summly.com. Or they could even desert it like flickr.com. (Yahoo is trying to buy everyone)
3. It could use it for promotional bennefits (like scam messages).
4. Many Tumblr users would dislike the change and would leave Tumblr.
5. Maybe one of the biggest changes would be that the layout and content would change, meaning that we would'nt have freedom of expression.
As a tumblr user, I believe that I have the right to agree with this change or not. I believe that the tumblr users around the world have the freedom of choice between wanting this change or not. And most of us DON'T want it. We are a family of 113 million users. We are in this together. And I know that the majoriy of Tumblr users DO NOT want this change either!
