But Wyoming gubnernatorial candidate Taylor Haynes (R) wants to tarnish Yellowstone's purity and peaceful landscape with oil rigs.
Haynes aims to allow all public lands in Wyoming -- including Yellowstone -- to be turned over to the state and leased for drilling, mining and grazing.
A clear majority two-thirds of Wyoming citizens, including Republicans, are in favor of conservation.
