This executive order violates the values of Kansas and the United States. Syrian refugees are seeking asylum and deserve our compassion that we greatly uphold as Midwestern folk. We understand the importance of caring for others and these refugees, these human beings, deserve care. They seek safety not terror. They aim to create a better life, not take life away. Just as Kansans have tended their crops for decades, so must we tend to our fellow human beings.

On behalf of myself and all those peitioing, we demand that you repeal your exectuive order that refuses admission to innocent Syrian refugees. This executive order violates the values of Kansas and the United States. Further, it violates the values of our nation's legal system where all are innocent until proven guilty. Syrian refugees are seeking asylum and deserve our compassion that we greatly uphold as Midwestern folk. We understand the importance of caring for others and these refugees, these human beings, deserve care. They seek safety not terror. They aim to create a better life, not take life away. Just as Kansans have tended their crops for decades, some even foreign, so must we tend to our fellow human beings no matter where they come from. Therefore, we again urge you to repeal this executive order and allow for innocent Syrian refugees to find asylum in our state.
