You may think that republicans are too busy stripping away our rights to yell at teenagers, but they will always have time for that! Rep. Derrick Van Orden from Wisconsin took it upon himself to berate Senate pages lying on the floor of the Capitol Rotunda, saying "Wake the f‑‑‑ up you little s‑‑‑‑. … What the f‑‑‑ are you all doing? Get the f‑‑‑ out of here. You are defiling the space you [pieces of s‑‑‑]." So if you're looking for a good time and visiting the Capitol, be careful as it seems like the Geek Patrol is working overtime.
There's a lot to be mad about. Senate pages hanging out is not one of those things. Rep. Derrick Van Orden is making a stink over nothing, and embarrassing himself in the process as he refuses to apologize for his crude language. Even Mitch McConnell echoed Schumer's sentiment that Van Orden's actions were "utterly despicable." Pot, meet kettle!
No matter your political affiliation, I think we can all agree — maybe we shouldn't let the old guy waving his fist and yelling "get off my lawn" stay in congress.
