Peers healing the future!!!!

Our goal is to help heal our abused youth! We, as peers, feel with proper training and leadership, we can facilitate much needed mentorship to young abuse victims. We are petitioning to start a new class at PHS, an elective, to help counsel and mentor select youth who may be in danger of abuse. With the help of our feeder elementary schools, each teacher can recommend students they feel may need some one on one personal time with an older peer. High school students will be familiar with signs of abuse, types of abuse, coping mechanisms, and of course ways to guide younger victims to ask for help.
