As if Trump couldn't make his kingly aspirations any clearer, the White House is now preparing to spend $200 million on a golden ballroom for the White House...all because Donald Trump doesn't like having to sit in tents outside when the White House hosts big events.
See, the current White House ballroom can only fit 200 people, and when there are larger events, they have to set up outside seating on the South Lawn. LIKE POOR PEOPLE. Gross, right?
Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the building will be 90,000 sq ft (8,300 sq metres) and will hold up to 650 seats.
After paving over Jackie Kennedy's Rose Garden, gilding the White House, and now adding on a wildly expensive ballroom, it's clear that Trump is trying to remake the People's House into Trump's House. We must voice our dissent with appropriate vehemence.
