Prevent the Coquet and other salmon rivers becoming exstint

THE RUINATION OF THE RIVER COQUET

We friends of the Coquet valley, who were born and have lived here all, if not most of our lives would like you to support a petition that will prevent the destruction of one of our most elegant rivers and a fish, THE MIGHTY ATLANTIC SALMON, it’s very existence within the next 5 years could depend upon people like you, We wish to petition the government of the day to reverse their decision on not allowing a proper programme of salmon conservation and management on the Coquet by the angling fraternity , who far from being the BAD GUYS are the very people who look after and care for the rivers in which they fish, WHY— because we as anglers have no commercial interest in killing these magnificent fish, other than to take one for the table now and again, it’s more again, than now, TRY FISHING FOR SALMON AND SEA TROUT with a rod and line and see how many you can catch, it is the tranquillity and peace as much as anything that keeps us going, so please can you sign to help us to preserve these endangered fish for future generations to experience.
